Who are we ?
We are a club which was first founded some 20 years ago in 1980. Its aims were to provide a club for the growing number of Boxer dog owners in the Norfolk area , somewhere where they could meet up have a chat about their successes and failures and to learn from each others mistakes. Where and when do we meet ? The club holds its meetings most Monday nights, (See Diary ) at the Taverham Village Hall , Sandy Lane , Taverham on the outskirts of Norwich starting at 7.30 pm. What are our aims ? Our aim is to carry on the tradition of those early years and provide a friendly club where owners can not only meet up once a week and train their dogs to a level of Obedience which suits them , whether it is just some basic commands or for competing at competition level, but also be where they can get together and have a nice chat while enjoying a nice cup of tea. We also aim to introduce our members if they wish to the show world and teach them how to get the best out of their Boxers. There is always someone at the club who has been showing boxers for several years and who is only too pleased to pass on their knowledge. If that is still not enough we will also introduce you to the world of Agility and show you how the Boxer can give a Collie a run for its money over the jumps and through the tunnels! What does it cost ? It really costs very little to be a member of our club having paid £10.00 joining fee which includes your 1st years membership and covers you for as many dogs as you can bring along, a small weekly charge to cover Hall costs, training fees etc applies ( See Charges ) for a more detailed run down of how much it will cost you. We even let you have your first cup of tea or coffee free of charge. |
